For the Research Centre for Operations Research and Business Statistics (ORSTAT), Leuven we are looking for a full-time PhD researcher in Statistics.
The ORSTAT research center has expertise in Operations Research and Statistics. The research center covers a wide range of challenging topics in both areas. One of the statistical research areas that is studied is survival analysis (or duration analysis), which is frequently used in economics, medicine, and engineering. It deals with the analysis of time-to-event data that are often incomplete in practice, and for which adequate procedures need to be developed in order to take this incompleteness into account. The PhD project will focus on a research topic in this area.
We offer an employment as full-time PhD researcher for 1 year, renewable till max. 4 years after positive evaluation. You will find a dynamic and pleasant working environment, in a group which conducts research at the highest international level.
