We seek to appoint a lecturer on reaction engineering and catalysis to teach undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The primary responsibility will be to contribute to the preparation and delivery of the Heterogeneous Reaction Engineering course, which is a core course in the Chemical Engineering Bachelor and an elective in the Master in Process Engineering. In this course, students learn fundamental principles of heterogeneous reactions and develop the necessary skills for the selection and design of various types of reactors. The content includes models for fluid-fluid and fluid-solid reactions; kinetics of surface reactions; mass and heat transfer phenomena and their impact on catalyst effectiveness; catalyst deactivation; reactor designs and testing methods. The course develops in English through regular lectures and exercises on each core topic during the spring semester.
