DATA SCIENTIST - PROGRAMMING

Data is one of the differential and fundamental assets of companies and its correct analysis allows a better knowledge of customers, the optimization of operations and the increase in employee satisfaction. In a global environment of digital transformation, we are looking for a data scientist with experience in machine learning to collect, interpret and program data for subsequent analysis and diagnosis to facilitate business decision making.

Thus, its role will include the taking of requirements and their analysis, as well as the validation of results, with a clear objective in the development of capacities to generate knowledge through the synergistic use of machine learning in data processing and, in particular, in the voice processing through neural networks (Deep Learning) to classify the suitability of candidates in selection processes. The work team where it will be integrated applies Lean and Agile methodologies that allow, through organization in multifunctional development teams, continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge exchange as part of daily work.

Activities to develop

• Among the activities to be carried out are the following:
• Understand the requirements that come from the different functional areas of the university and its ability to generate value through better knowledge of the data.
• Analyze the different sources of information existing in the university and their limitations and/or dependencies (for example, determining the existence of vendor lock-in), allowing a correct approach to the problem and the design of the solution.
• Exploratory data analysis using data mining, both structured and unstructured, and in the latter case, voice and video.
• Creation of synthetic variables. Design and implementation of models on which to carry out a correct analysis and treatment of the data.
• Development of new algorithms that allow, through the combination of different types of neural networks and the use of existing algorithms, to classify talent.
• Integration of processes and extraction of business conclusions.
• Define the acceptance criteria that, together with the test plan, allow minimizing risks.
• Ensure the alignment of the project results with the requirements of the different functional areas, estimating efforts and the necessary deadlines to achieve the objectives set.
• Preparation of reports and presentations.

• Academic degree: mathematics, physics or engineering.
• Postgraduate studies in machine learning, data science and/or artificial intelligence.
• Minimum of three years in a specialized role in machine learning oriented to business solutions, with a focus on exploratory data analysis and the development and application of algorithms in the field.
• Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) platforms Experience in the application and development of artificial intelligence models (Deep learning, supervised classification, clustering, time series, regression, decision trees, ...).
• Demonstrable experience in analytical and data management programming languages ​​in traditional environments using Python and common libraries: numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, tensorflow, keras...
• Knowledge of analytical programming languages ​​and data management in Big Data environments (spark, pyspark, rspark) will be valuable.
• Experience working in the design and programming of relational (MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
• Experience programming in Python.
• Experience in the use of data mining, processing and visualization platforms.
• Knowledge of software best practices such as test-driven development and continuous integration. Familiarity with the Agile framework.
• Coaching and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge sharing and collaboration skills.
• An open mind, self-initiative and an interest in learning new things. Good level of English as it is the vehicular language.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
