Full or Associate Professor, Head of the Division of Pediatric Emergency

This is a University Hospital position as Head of the Division of Pediatric Emergency, including a fraction of professor’s position. This position is attached to the Academic Department of Pediatrics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, and the Hospital Department of Woman, Child and Adolescent.

The candidate should have outstanding managerial and leadership skills along with an extensive clinical record in pediatric emergency. She/He will lead a Division at the cutting-edge of technology that receives sick or injured children from all over the Geneva area, representing one third of the emergency consultations at the HUG. She/He should also have the ability to collaborate with partners inside and outside the HUG in a transversal perspective.

The successful candidate will possess the capacity to conduct high-level clinical and translational research in the area of pediatric emergency medicine. In addition, he/she will have mentoring skills, and be dedicated to strong medical teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as the Division is a major training center for pediatric emergency medicine.

Titles and qualifications required:

M.D. title, board certification in general pediatrics, and advanced training qualification in pediatric emergency medicine, or equivalent, are required.

Good knowledge of French.

Relevant experience as an independent investigator and teacher. Publications in leading international journals.

Starting date : October 1st 2025 or upon agreement
