The Department of Economics and Management of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in supply chain management.

Your Role...

The post-doctoral researcher will be working within the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL) and will be working under the supervision of Professor Benny Mantin, but may work with any of the professors at the LCL. In particular, the Postdoctoral Researcher will be in charge of:

  • Contribution to research in the area of Supply Chain Management
  • Publication of articles in scientific journals
  • Assisting with teaching activities. In particular, teaching one or two courses in the master programme and supervision of industry oriented research theses at the master’s level
  • Supporting outreach activities carried out by the LCL

Qualifications...

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in operations management, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or related domains.

In particular, the following requirements apply:

  • Strong interest in operations management. Diverse research methodologies are welcomed, including modeling, theoretical, empirical, algorithmic, or computational approaches
  • Proven ability to autonomously conduct research at a post-doctoral level
  • Good IT skills
  • Proven ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge or French or German will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication and writing skills

The yearly gross salary for every Postdoctoral Researcher at the UL is EUR 77167 (full time)
