Research funding expert, would you like to make your mark on tomorrow’s society by enabling research impact?
We are looking for a Grant Writer to support our research groups in securing international funding. The position can be located at any of our campuses. The position is permanent and full-time, and the work starts on 1st of August 2022, or as agreed. The position is subject to a probationary period.
What does the position involve?
In this position, your main task is to contribute to planning and writing international research funding applications in collaboration with our research groups and partners. As a part of your work, you will search and share information on funding and partnering opportunities. The goal is to advance our international research, development and innovation activities and improve our possibilities in receiving competitive funding.
Currently our main international funding instruments include the Erasmus+ and Interreg programmes as well as Creative Europe and Horizon Europe -programmes.
You will work closely with other international research funding experts, who specialize in project budgeting and the EU framework programme. The RDI services team also includes finance, information management and communication experts.

What do we expect from you?
The required qualification for this position is a graduate degree in a suitable field. A postgraduate degree is an advantage.
You should have excellect academic writing skills and knowledge of effective grant writing practices. We expect you to have a proven record of successful grant applications. Experience with EU funding programmes (Erasmus+, EU framework programmes) is considered a benefit. You should have at least 5 years of working experience in relevant positions.
To succeed in this position you should have good organizational and interpersonal skills. You should be comfortable with working under set schedules as well as detail-oriented and self-motivated. The position requires excellent written and oral English skills and working Finnish skills.
