YOUR TASKS
The Flemish Cognitive Compass is an inter-university research program aimed at investigating the predictive value of a blood biomarker test for the development of mild cognitive impairment and dementia over an initial 4-year period, with a final target duration of 10 years of follow-up. The Flemish Cognitive Compass is a collaboration between Ghent University (UGent), KU Leuven, and VIB vzw, and is funded by the Flemish Government. The employee for this position will be appointed within the Bioanalysis Department of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The Flemish Cognitive Compass conducts population-based research among a large group of volunteers (n = 5,000) that is representative of the Flemish population aged 45 and older. To this end, it builds upon the GLORIA study (Ghent Health Monitor, https://www.gezondheidsmonitor.gent/). The Flemish Cognitive Compass is responsible for the longitudinal monitoring of the cognitive and functional status of this cohort, using internationally validated instruments, including both in-person neuropsychological tests and innovative digital measurement tools.
To collect research data and support analyses, the Flemish Cognitive Compass is seeking a meticulous staff member with knowledge of the methodology and design of clinical studies and/or GCP certificate. You will support the operations of the GLORIA Health Monitor cohort, including contacting and informing (potential) participants, guiding and administering and conducting (cognitive) tests, and entering and verifying research data in RedCap®.
