YOUR TASKS

• Research on the production, analysis and characterization of Klebsiella pneumoniae depolymerases
• Study of jumbo phages and their associated receptor-binding proteins using microbiology, synthetic biology and evolution.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You hold a thesis-based doctorate in the field of bacteriophage biology, preferably in the domain of depolymerases.
• You have expertise in cloning, recombinant production, purification of enzymes.
• You have proven skills in bacteriophage microbiology (propagation, plaquing, adsorption assays, …)
• You have proven skills in phage engineering.
• You have experience with phage evolution.
• You have a publication record in the corresponding field, with active contributions to conferences.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from October 1, 2026 till March 31, 2028 (18 months).
• Your contract will start on 1/10/2026 at the earliest.
