Assessment content developers are involved in the creation and fine-tuning of assessments to ensure that they are fit for purpose.

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation offering four programmes of international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. We strive to develop students who will build a better world through intercultural understanding and respect.

As we move towards digital assessment in the IB Diploma and first teaching of our 2025 DP Design Technology guide we are looking to appoint future thinking Assessment Content Developers (ACD’s) for IB DP Design Technology.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have an honors degree in Design, such as Bachelor of Design (BDes), a Design BA or MA in a Design Technology related field or similar qualification grounded in design theory and the discipline of design thinking.
  • Preferred degree level knowledge in the field of:
    • Design, the Design process, User-Centered Design, Product Design, Digital Design and experience of CAD/CAM rapid prototyping techniques with recent design related teaching, instructional or industry experience.
  • Subject knowledge in areas such as Robotics, Mechanical and Electronic Structural Design (including the underpinning computational programming language skills), Computer-aided design and manufacturing, design and application of technological skills such rapid and virtual prototyping in 2,3, 4 and 5D with an understanding of universal design principles are all advantageous.
  • We welcome applications from practitioners with subject knowledge or industry experience in all ‘Emerging Technologies’ such as: Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented reality (AR), Haptic technology, Motion Capture, Generative Design, Simulative metaverse modelling of complex situations and scenarios, Bio and Smart materials, Bio-data and other mechanisms that will inform product development, prototyping and manufacture in an ever-changing world.
