KIMEP University invites applications for the position of Dean of the School of Computer Science and Mathematics. The Dean reports to the VPAA and has an annual teaching responsibility of 3 credits. The Dean position is a full-time administrative position. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The University seeks an experienced educator and administrator who is highly motivated and can provide leadership to the college and its departments` research and teaching activities and initiatives. The ideal candidate should be committed to KIMEP University's mission and its leadership role in providing a North American/Western style of education. The Dean will be responsible in maintaining/strengthening the academic quality of its existing programs as well as take new initiatives related to its programs and the mission of the college.  

Qualifications

Applicants must have earned a PhD from an accredited and recognized university in one of the specialty areas currently existing in the college or in a closely related field. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience as an administrator and holding the rank of at least Associate Professor with evidence of current/past scholarship. Candidates should have good oral and written communication skills and be fluent in English.

The successful candidate should also have experience in successfully managing and supervising faculty and staff, working across departmental lines and the ability to contribute to the student learning environment.

Compensation

Rank and salary are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation after-tax compares favorably with net salaries in western countries. Combined with a low cost of living, the salary becomes even more competitive in real terms.

Limited on campus housing is available to rent. In addition to salary, a benefits package includes basic healthcare, reduced tuition rates for KIMEP courses, and subsidy for relocation allowance. The salary will be subject to a deduction of 10% income tax.
