Project

The teaching assignment includes providing education in the bachelor's and master's degree in industrial engineering (electromechanics). These teaching tasks include:

  • Materials science labs
  • Labs CAD (Solidworks)
  • Supervising project work that consists of the design of mechanical structures and machines
  • Supervision of master's theses.

The PhD concerns the mechanism of hydrogen embrittlement and its impact on fretting fatigue in additively manufactured materials. This research focuses on understanding the mechanism of hydrogen embrittlement and its impact on fretting fatigue in additively manufactured materials. Hydrogen embrittlement reduces the strength and ductility of a material through hydrogen absorption, which can lead to fracture. By studying these processes in additively manufactured materials, research can help improve the structural integrity and reliability of these components.

Profile

  • Candidates must hold a Master's degree in engineering technology or in engineering sciences, specialisation electromechanics or mechanical engineering or materials science.
