Teaching Assistant / Assistant Professor
Focus: teaching

Department of Journalism and Social Communication
Teaching hours: 360 hours

Duties:
- development of the program of classes conducted
- conducting all forms of classes with students, including lectures and classes in English
- conducting undergraduate seminars (possibly master's seminars)
- assessing students and providing feedback
- hospitalization of classes taught by assistants and adjuncts
- participating in the graduation process
- conducting consultations with students
- contributing to the integration of the student community by supporting the work of scientific circles and student organizations
- supplementing data in the information system supporting the didactic process
- contributing to the popularization among students of the results of research and scientific projects, especially those conducted within SWPS University
- ensuring constant contact with science/design by participating in scientific meetings and events devoted to issues related to the teaching activities and following scientific publications in this field
- active involvement in the activities of the department, institute or organizational unit
- participation in university collegial bodies, advisory bodies, committees, etc.
- cooperation with academic functionaries in the organization of teaching or scientific activities
- building relations with the social and economic environment
- supporting activities to maintain good relations with alumni
- participation in organizational activities for the university
- implementation of activities for institutional development and didactics
Requirements:
- master's degree or doctoral degree in the field of social sciences in the discipline of social communication and media sciences or sociological sciences, management and quality sciences, political sciences and administration sciences and humanities in the discipline: literary studies,
- knowledge of English at an intermediate level
- teaching experience of more than 1 year
- willingness to work on weekends
- declaration of employment at SWPS University as the primary place of work
Nice to have:
- research interests in the areas of branding, PR, advertising, social and digital media or audiovisual production

- statements confirming knowledge of foreign languages at the required level
Formal criteria:
- teaching achievements: 50% of the final score
- academic achievements: 20% of the final score
- administrative and practical achievements: 30% of the final score
