A permanent 100 % position is available at the University of Agder, Faculty of Business and Law School, as Associate Professor in Economics, within Macroeconomics and/or Financial Economics at the Department of Economics and Finance. The position is located at Campus Kristiansand. The successful candidate is expected to be physically present on campus and actively contribute to the academic environment. The starting date is negotiable with the Faculty.
School of Business and Law - University of Agder, which is AACSB-accredited, has approximately 2000 students and about 140 employees. The faculty is organized into three departments that offer studies in business administration, accounting and auditing, management, marketing, entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as law.

The working language at the University of Agder is Norwegian. The successful candidate must be proficient in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language, both written and oral. The University of Agder will facilitate the completion of courses in Norwegian. Permanently employed staff is expected to be proficient in Norwegian within three years.
Qualification requirements for appointment as Assosiate Professor (førsteamanuensis)
The position is remunerated according to the State Salary Scale, salary plan 17.510, code 1011 Associate Professor, NOK 830 000 – 920 000 gross salary per year. Higher salary grades may be considered for particularly well-qualified applicants. A compulsory pension contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund is deducted from the pay according to current statutory provisions.
