This is how the World Health Organization (WHO, 1986) defines health in its Ottawa Charter (1986) for Health Promotion. 

Today, people are investing more of their free time and money in their well-being. This trend is based on the insight that it is not just important to live as long as possible but also to make sure that the quality of life, even in old age, is defined by our daily well-being.

LUNEX University is a university-level institution that focuses on socially relevant and closely linked areas of health and fitness, sports, therapy and preventive medicine. The university´s areas of research and instruction are notable for their sustainability and social relevance. Studies at LUNEX University equip students with a new perspective on the emerging field of sports and health.

To this end, LUNEX University intends to run its own international campuses and, with the help of a close international network, offer study programs with an international perspective.
