Founded in 1971, the University of Kassel is the newest university in the state of Hessen. Current enrolment is approximately 23.696 students.

The university also employs more than 3.265 staff, including 303 professors as well as approximately 1.484 additional academic staff and 1,246 technical and administrative staff. We offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes in the fields of:

The International House is located on the main campus. It offers accommodation for international guests and is available for meetings, conferences and cultural events.
