While the county b​oasts rolling countryside, castles and canals, the town of Northampton offers students an exciting urban experience, complete with activities, events, nightclubs, bars, shops and sports. The University's £25million St John's Halls of Residence in Northampton town centre, which opened at the start of 2014, offers students a town centre living experience. In addition to our on campus sports facilities, the University's sports partnerships mean that wherever our students live in Northampton, sports and leisure facilities are close at hand. All our students have access to excellent facilities operated in and around Northa​mpton at discounted rates. Due for completion in February 2015, the £8.5million University of Northampton Innovation Centre will offer business support and advice for businesses in the social enterprise sector. Students will have the opportunity to work with these businesses on placements and internships.​
