Duration of Contract Temporary employment with option for permanent position
Temporary Employment 6 years with possible development agreement
Your Responsibilities
Work on the development agreement to be concluded with objectives in teaching, research and in the area of intra-university commitment
Independent teaching of courses in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs on questions of history and political didactics, public history and questions of historical-political education in historical-cultural fields of action to the extend of 8 weekly semester hours (on average)
Participation in the conception of new academic teaching methods and courses
Student support and supervision of final theses
Independent research and publication activities in the field of history didactics, public history and memory studies
Participation in the acquisition of third-party funded projects and in existing research projects of the department
Content and administrative support in the implementation of publication projects, conferences and research projects
Collaboration on organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures
Participation in examining and administrative tasks within the Department of History Didactics
Collaboration in the organization of the Department of History Didactics, in particular science communication and public relations
Your Profile
Completed doctoral or Ph.D. studies in the field of history
Very good degree in history and social studies/political education (diploma/master's degree)
Good knowledge of the specialist discourses of history and political didactics
Experience in teaching at university level
Willingness to develop innovative teaching and research projects on questions of history and political didactics as well as public history
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
Other foreign language skills (desirable)
Competence in the organization of scientific events and participation of third-party funds (desirable)
Very good IT skills and interest in the use of digital tools in the field of virtual teaching
Independent research activity and proof of publications in interdisciplinary contexts
High level of commitment and motivation for scientific work
Social skills and enjoyment of working with students
Strong teamwork and organizational skills
Independence, reliability, creativity and enjoyment of scientific collaboration
Willingness to participate in further training measures at the university

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 69,060.60 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
